The availability of Community Development Block Grant funding from the CARES Act presents a rare opportunity to invest in year-round, fixed-site emergency shelter projects needed to provide dignity-based, safe, temporary crisis options that connect people experiencing homelessness to long-term housing.
 
The Alliance is asking that Community Development Block Grant - Coronavirus (CDBG-CV) decision-makers invest available funding in new fixed-site shelter developments to more effectively serve individuals and families, and the medically vulnerable during the pandemic and beyond.
