On Thursday, November 30, the Village of Oak Park will hold the first of a pair of community forums focusing on community education and the best ways to interact with and provide support to Oak Park’s unhoused population. A group of panelists, including Lynda Schueler, Chief Executive Officer of Housing Forward; Kylon Hooks, Deputy Chief in the Illinois Office to Prevent and End Homelessness; John Harris from the Oak Park Homelessness Coalition; and Vanessa Matheny, Village Grants Supervisor, will discuss challenges, potential solutions, and address advocacy and policy. The session will also include a question-and-answer segment.
