Sojourner House Dedication

On September 12th, Housing Forward and Oak Park Housing Authority, with support from MacNeal Hospital, the Oak Park Homelessness Coalition, Village of Oak Park and many others, opened the Sojourner House, the first interim housing facility in suburban Cook County.

Located on Austin Boulevard, Sojourner House contains five separate apartments as well as a detached coach house and will bridge the gap between homeless shelters and permanent housing for vulnerable men, women and families facing homelessness.
