Hephzibah Celebrates 125 Years; Seeks Foster Parents to Continue Legacy
Hephzibah Children’s Association, which turned 125 in 2022, is seeking foster parents. Across the country, nearly 500,000 children are in foster care. In Illinois, more than 16,000 are in foster care.
Hephzibah Children’s Association in Oak Park, Illinois’ oldest social service agency, was founded in 1897. The nonprofit helps more than 1,000 children each year through programs that include group homes, foster care, family preservation programs and after-school programs.
